Privacy Policy

BalmontDriver · Last updated: 12 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the BalmontDriver iOS application ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use it. The App helps you prepare for the Spanish DGT driving licence exam through practice tests.

Summary

What information is processed

1. Data stored only on your device

The following data never leaves your device. It is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework and is removed when you uninstall the App or use "Reset all data" in Settings:

2. Anonymous analytics (Firebase)

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the App is used (for example, how many users complete a test, which onboarding step is most commonly abandoned, or how the paywall performs). Firebase may collect:

This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. The App does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and does not show advertisements.

Firebase is operated by Google. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's own privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

3. In-app purchases (Apple)

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes your payment information; we receive only an anonymous purchase confirmation that unlocks Premium features on your device. Apple's privacy practices are described at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

4. Crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)

The App uses Firebase Crashlytics to receive automatic, anonymous crash reports that help us fix bugs. A crash report contains technical information about the crash (stack trace, device model, OS version, app version) but no personal data and no content from your test sessions.

5. Notifications

If you opt in to daily reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device. No notification content is sent through any external server.

Children's privacy

The App is intended for users aged 17 or older (preparing for a driving licence). We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.

Your choices

Data retention

Local data is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App. Anonymous analytics events are retained by Firebase according to Google's default retention period (currently 14 months).

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Material changes will be communicated within the App.
